It’s all your grand grand grand father’s fault ?

Most of the time i don’t really like to blog about politic, but for this issue i would like to blog about it without all the politic factor and just base on human nature.

Hindraf plans to gather 10,000 Indians to hand a memorandum addressed to the Queen of England to support a class-action suit against Her Majesty’s government for bringing Indians to Malaysia as indentured labourers and exploiting them for 150 years.

A total of US$4 trillion (RM14 trillion) is being sought for US$2 million for every Indian residing in Malaysia.

the full article is here , this sounds like today if you are poor,working like shit as a worker, doing nothing or what, is all because your grand grand grand father been brought over here.

I was like wtf ? it’s all because of yourself make you become whatever today you are. My grand father is just a fruit farm, my dad use to be worker but now he have his own crane, became his own boss, myself at least is a IT professional.

Do you think even they *really* get these$$, will their live change ? i would say nope, if they still having the same attitude. Just like what my colleague say when i show her this story - “this has to be the biggest joke i’ve ever seen”

Pushing Recycling Project by using fine ?

I just saw today mypaper talking about is it a good way to using Fine to push the recycling project? i don’t really think that’s a good idea, just like the recent ERP issue, not everything you can use $$ to resolve.

Example for my gal, she is quite support this kind of project, but there is not really enough push factor, is not like you can just do it near by, you might need to go very far just to throw those thing that can be recycle. I believe most of the people don’t mind to do some recycle if there are no additional effort required.

One scene come in my mind when i read this piece of news, when i travel taipei during august, i saw this little boy which i think 6 or 7 years old, after he finished his packet drink, he open the packet and fold properly , throw into the recycle bin, i was so touch when i see that, i think education still a better way with proper gov support.

Don’t Give Up Vista

Yeah , Don’t Give Up Vista , i was laughing non-stop in office just now when i saw this ads.

First i saw this ads on youtube , i just feel oh another mac & pc ads, which is a bit funny when pc having problem with the remote control for the light signs, then after i saw it mention again in digg.

I was wondering how come this ads getting so much respond ? after checking on digg, i found out that this ads is actually show on CNET Windows Vista Page , i was like WOW ! on windows vista product , you have a mac switcher ads ! i must say this is really a creative idea.

How important is this CNET Windows Vista Page ? type in windows vista in google , this is 4th results that returns, other then wikipedia , this is 2nd site which are not from m$ in the results that return. I believe this should cost a bomb, but really a nice shot.

By the tim i blog about this , seem like CNET took down the ads already , i can’t really see it now, but as usual google is good friend

Page rank is migrated

The page rank on imknight.net is moving to imknight.net slowly, but quite disappointed that imknight.net is only on page rank 2, this is falling from page rank 5 , 3 level high.

Although i know that google is punished those selling link blog, but so far i never have these thing on my blog , although i did register the TLA service, but so far no one bought my link before, i really doubt that is this page rank drop related to this ?

lets see how long it takes for me to climb back page 5 again. This is not the first time,  It happen to me long long time ago .

Tatar-argh ah Tatar-argh

Thanks for the post from Simply Jean , i m not a newspaper guy , i only read mypaper. So this is getting BEST, They claim that Singaporeans are not used to the lowest bid model.

This was done in response to member feedback. ‘The general public is more used to a bid up system versus a bid down system.

Tell me who the heck is feedback ? there are no forum, no blog for this, it means got someone actually email them and feedback bid down model not good , must use bid up model la ? i bet the so call public is form by Mr Revenue , Miss Income and Mrs Profit.

like what ? selling our contact to 3rd party ? or sell the member database for spam ? hmmm , i wonder is this related to recently those china caller that call me? Going through the privacy terms, i don’t really see anything that they allow to make use our information for other e-commerce activity ? Correct me if i m wrong if someone which is expert on terms and conditions.

One of my colleague told me the model is still the same, for bid down , max is 0 and for bid up the max is 50% of retail price, you still need to be highest + unique compare to previous model which is lowest + unique, this is nothing different, the only different is they earn more $$.

I miss the Singapore PHP User Group last night

I did prepare to go, even send my info to Michael and bring my macbook pro with me and prepare to tumblr it , but at the end i was too tired to go , partly because the night before i went to gym with friend, even feeling uncomfortable when i walk, thats why i miss it again.

anyway you can read the live blogging about this whole event on Simple Jean  and she share with us the slides that they are discussing about last night, for her contribution i decide to subscribe her blog on my google reader ! ( i assume is a she la , because everyone one call her jean jean )

iShop 2nd Birthday EDM Bugged

I wonder is iShop checking their EDM activity ? if they did i wonder did they notice that this EDM seem like doesn’t perform very good ? the simple reason is you can’t view their 2nd Birthday EDM on IE, give it a try by using IE to view this EDM, i believe it shall return blank on both IE6 and IE7.

No doubt that firefox is getting more market share but create an EDM that can’t view under IE doesn’t really looks good. Example for myself , sometime i will need to rush some EDM, i might not check the logic on page by page, but at least i will show each page on IE to make sure at least is viewable. Now the problem is not just because of css isse and make it show slightly different under different browser, it’s totally nothing show under IE, which mean the person that design this EDM never ever load on IE to see once, assume that the person that design this is on Mac platform, but i believe at least you need to check hows your EDM show under IE.

So what cause this ? i drill int source to take a look, this happen because there is <style> tag accidentally key in before close of head tag, this is the reason it stop the IE to load it.

The EDM i believe it’s out for few day, this is wierd that no fix has been done, is either none of the people report ? or there are no one checking the performance of this EDM, Your target is not just mac user or firefox user, your target should be everyone that surfing net.

Palm OS + Nokia Tablet

I would say this is a great news, ACCESS Systems Americas, Inc just release Garnet VM Beta for the Nokia Internet Tablet. I almost want to jump when i heard about this news last night from one of the geek friend.

Now day Palm only release Phone with Windows Mobile , it seem hard to get a good device that come with Palm OS. But now nokia internet tablet , i been follow since N770 , N800 and the latest release N810 is able to run all the interesting palm application out there. I think this is another strong reason for me to get N810.

Palm OS + Nokia Tablet

One idea that pop up, if Nokia able to buy Palm/Access , Nokia Phone+ Palm OS  will this be over take iPhone or Windows Mobile Phone ? But this almost impossible since Nokia already spend so much effort on symbian.
